The Gran Hotel Ancira, located in downtown Monterry's Zona Rosa, was first opened in 1912 and it was well known as the most beautiful building of its time because of its French architectural style. Today, it is still considered to be an artistic monument and part of Mexico's national heritage and has earned the honor of being a Nationally Registered Historic Hotel. The lobby is especially admired for its design, and the classical marbled flight of stairs is often photographed for wedding pictures. The Gran Hotel Ancira also has an outstanding location, situated within walking distance of the Marco Museum of Contemporary Art, the Metropolitan Museum, Teatro De La Ciudad, Macroplaza and the cathedral.
The guestrooms are appointed with imported French furniture, and some rooms even feature antiques dating from the early 20th century. From its beginnings, the Gran Hotel Ancira considers the treatment given to our guests as a priority and this has made it one of the most preferred hotels in Mexico and abroad. [
