Basking in the sun of Sabalo Beach on the southern end of Mazatlan's Golden Zone, sits the Oceano Palace hotel. This resort is a great choice for couples on romantic getaways or family vacations. This resort is located a few miles from the vibrant attractions and shopping of downtown. Guests can plunge into an array of water sports or catch some rays on the golden sandy beaches, dance the night away or learn to scuba dive.
The multilingual staff of the Oceano Palace invites guests to relax in the tropically landscaped seaside pool. La Terraza is an a la carte restaurant specializing in Me...[more]

start_quote Oceano Palace is a fairly nice facilty, and good value. Big negative, the activity staff is motivated to text message. In two weeks between all 6 members only worked a total of one hour. Location is a little out of the way to the golden zone, but still lots of amenities near by. Food, well above average, only wolfgang puck would have the right to complain. Drink, average, but bring a cup, or you... end_quote

start_quote Oceano Palace Resort was absolutely beautiful. However, the choice of people they choose to stay there is very poor. We were there April 02-10th, there had to have been at least 400-500 students there partying straight through the night. The security is a joke. Either the "officers" are elderly or they are as young as the students. Both the hotel and Signature Tours made many promises and apologie... end_quote

start_quote Hotel had a funny smell. And none of the bartenders knew how to make a decent margarita. But the beach was excellent! And the hotel was really close by to town. The food was very poor, one night the meat options were octopus or octopus (they even chopped it up and put it in the salads) so we didn't eat at the hotel much, but the surrounding restaurants were fantastic. The restaurant directly besid... end_quote

start_quote Staff were courteous. The rooms were decent however, the toilet did not flush properly and hotel management did not do anything about it when we told them at the front desk. Some of the food was good and some just so-so, usually not hot, especially the vegetables, not a lot of variety so it was boring for the money spent on all inclusive. Food in the adjacent restaurant was mediocre, the meat a... end_quote

start_quote We stayed at this hotel Mar 26- Apr 3/06. The staff was great and the food was good. Beach was awesome. Our nightmare began when 5 busloads of Mexican students checked into the hotel. The partying and the noise was nonstop day and night all throughout the hotel. The hotel was literally taken over with absolutely no regard for the tourists that were staying there. To make matters worse the front des... end_quote

start_quote This hotel is posted as a 3 start but beware, if you do some more research it is actually 2 star. The rooms here were okay, but if you request a room with a king sized bed forget about it. The daily activities, there were none and the non-motorized watersports... unless you count volleyball they don't offer that either. The food was not that great and we went outside of the hotel 90% of the time t... end_quote
