start_quote Just go-all is good. From a amazing check in procedure, excellent standard room, perfect beach with bar service, amazing pools, fantastic food and a great staff. Weather is hot and sunny and the ocean is clean and warm. Local towns are clean and fun with lots of fishing and jungle trips available. We were lucky to see Hump back whales, dolfins and sea turtles on our fishing trip. Tino was our guid... end_quote

start_quote Huatulco is a great destination, safe & friendly. Dreams sometimes rated a 5* but not quite there in my opinion. Food again good but not 5*. Very clean and staff 5* without being intrusive. Beach very nice but not Shoal Bay or Reduit in St.Lucia. Would I return? Yes!! but would would probably try a different resort. Stay away from the 90 minute presentation - a waste of up-front money - You can ge... end_quote

start_quote Dreams provided us with a great holiday with the staff so friendly and most spoke very good english. The first two days the beach was black flagged and off limits but the pool area was abundant. We took a cattamaran boat tour to the hidden bays and loved it with whale and dolphin sightings during the morning. We were moved to SECRETS for the last 3 nights and this 12 week old resort is ultra new a... end_quote

start_quote This is our 3rd time visiting Dreams Huatulco and we love it. The staff are wonderful, always cheerful and very helpful. The resort is very clean as are the rooms. We enjoy walking on the beach and swimming in the ocean for most of each day but always end off with an hour at the adult pool as the sun is going down. We will return again next year. end_quote

start_quote We travelled to Huatulco April 5th ,2011 and stayed two weeks. On the way from the airport to the hotel the guide was very informative. One of the things he said was that Huatulco was prone to earthquakes. We thought nothing of it. On the 2nd day there, sure enough, we had an earthquake that sent everyone out into the walkways. We later heard it was a 5 on the richter scale. It did put some excite... end_quote

start_quote We visited Dreams in Huatulco Mexico for 2 weeks starting April 5th - April 19th. It was our wedding anniversary the day we arrived and I must say they made us feel very special. When we went to our room there was a Happy Anniversary banner across the door and our bed was decorated with real rose petals in the shape of a heart. There was also champagne on ice and a small cake. My husband had e-mai... end_quote

start_quote March 11 to 18 2010:

I can't say enough good things about the Huatulco area . Beautiful beaches, great diving and snorkeling and perfect hot weather- a truly tropical experience.

The Dreams Resort itself is in a perfect location on the beach and has enough (perhaps just enough) palapas for the number of guests at the hotel. In my three visits in the last three years (... end_quote

start_quote The people of Huatulco are very kind and very hardworking. The is a diamond in the rough! Very safe area. Hotter than any other Mexican location I know of. Great for couples and families alike. Not for young party people. Lovely holiday and highly recommend it. end_quote

start_quote We just came back from our week (there were 10 of us) at the Dreams, Huatulco. I personally have stayed at a number of all-inclusive hotels (Mayan Riviera, Puerto Vallarta, Dominican, Cuba) and this was by far the best resort I have been to yet. We definitely received 5 star service at every turn. They pay attention to all the little details (room service in the evening, slippers in your room, ser... end_quote

start_quote awesome resort when not too full, not much shade for a full house, very clean everywhere and decent food and drink. entertainment a bit sparse but staff try hard. Huatulco is clean and quiet,if thats what your looking for go and enjoy! end_quote

start_quote If you are going to Huatulco and want a nice resort, this is the place to stay... 3 infinite pools overlooking the bay with excellent poolside service. The servers where coming around all the time asking if you wanted a drink, in fact most of the time we had to tell them we didn't need anything.. thats how often they came. I have stayed at many all inclusives and never had such attentive service. ... end_quote

start_quote We found the resort to be very beautiful, service was good. Resort was very relaxing and had the little extras that we enjoyed. We are beach people and the beach and water was fabulous.
There is a lack of entertainment, which didn't matter to us as we do a fair amount of traveling and you can only see so many shows in the resorts.
All was wonderful, we will defiantly be returning..... end_quote

start_quote I loved the resort, absolutely beautiful. Great food, spectacularily clean, great location and friendly helpful service. My one complaint is that the entertainment was lacking. The shows were terrible, with a bit of dancing and boring crowd involved games. I was not impressed that the shows were short and boring, not to mention the other activities lacking such as karaoke that started one hour lat... end_quote

start_quote Just got bak on December 26/08 after a week at Dreams Huatulco. We were told that there would be tennis. There were 88 in our group, and neither the tour operator (Signature) or the hotel cared at all about our concerns. Our group stayed there 2 years ago when it was Gala, and the hotel was much better as Gala. Poor choice of resort if you have 15 - 21 year old kids. They have a no wristband polic... end_quote

start_quote Still under construction and only 20% occupancy. The rooms, beds, infinity pools, service and quality of food was excellent and an improvement over the Gala. Restaurants are ready but not open - they switch them around. Buffet only open for breakfast and occasonally for lunch as just not enough guests yet. New Signature Rep (Elena) was great. end_quote

start_quote They are in the midst of renovations - and it's not going well. Noise at all hours, half the restaurants are closed, and they are charging quite a bit more than when they were called Gala Huatulco. I do not recommend staying there until 2009/2010 winter season. They certainly have a lot of kinks to work out! end_quote

start_quote Our agent made an error only booking one room, when we had paid for two. The hotel was not helpful, saying they were full. After sitting in the lobby for 4hrs another room magically appeared for $2100 (7nights). They were not helpful at all, the first night we had a leak in our room, the fire alarm then went off and a maintenance man was in our room working at 2am. We wanted to be compensated ... end_quote

start_quote Layout and size were great. Beach was great. Food was not 5 star, but was O.K. A la carte restaurants were not all available every day, which you were initially led to believe they would be. Cleanliness and housekeeping was fine. Staff not very fluent in English at all. 75% of most groups were ill at some point in the trip, 5 out of 7 in our party got sick. Great environment for teens/unive... end_quote

start_quote Hotel room was good. Plenty of hot water and good shower. Public washrooms were not kept very clean. Food selection limited and quality not very good. Seven out of eight of our travel party become ill, ranging to ill enough to seek medical attention. Probably would not return to the Gala. end_quote

start_quote Unbelievable service at this hotel. The staff are very friendly, and professional. High staff to guest ratio. The hotel is dated, but clean. Bed matresses are uncomforatble, but I believe the owners are hesitating to commit to any upgrades as the property is scheduled for a major renovation starting in April 2008. In fact, management stated the hotel may be closed for 6-9 months. Apparantly 140 ... end_quote

start_quote The Gala will be renovated come April 2008, however we enjoyed this resort very much. Great staff and our room had a wonderful view of the pools and ocean. Italian restaurant was the best, followed by the Mediterranean restaurant. Buffets were good and the staff are clean and courteous. We're going back. The beach is the best with palapas and waiter service! end_quote

start_quote We stayed at the Gala in November 2006. Upgraded to a Junior suite. Was worth every penny!! The food was great... especially our Lobster Dinner! Great selection of wines. All the drinks were top notch, Staff were very helpful and friendly. Didn't like Sky Service though...... Nice relaxing holiday.... Highly recommend this Resort!!!! end_quote

start_quote Excellent hotel. The rooms were large and clean. Hotel staff were there for all of our needs. The food was excellent. We have been to many all inclusives and I definitely rate this as one of the best for service, food and accomodations. The only draw back of this resort is not enough chairs or shade, but if you get up early enough in the morning you can find a spot. Would highly recommend th... end_quote

start_quote Great stay, couldn't ask for anything more except for the beach and pool chairs are a problem. People reserve them with towels and stuff starting at about 5:30 am. They need more with umbrellas or shade areas as the sun is very very hot. We had a great time and would definitely go again. end_quote
